A Year on Flatbed Farm Seminars : Changing Seasons : Sunday September 26th 9:30 - 11:30
We might be in the middle of mountains of tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and peppers, but now is the time when we start planning for the changing seasons and how to winter our gardens. Join Farmer Hayley as she shows you how to determine if your soil is "spent" and what to do if it is. Participants will learn about "green manure," cover crops, solarization and winter companion planting. Plus Hayley will share key points for maintenance of 100-day crops.
Seminar cost: $125 and includes supplies plus take-home winter plant starts: kale, a choice of cruciferious plant, and a seed garlic. Coffee, tea and water will be provided during seminar.
