Flatbed Farm’s most popular item is our rainbow-colored eggs with bright orange yolks from our free-range chickens. We have around 140 hens (and several roosters) of a wide variety of breeds. Most recently, we added 25 Cuckoo Marans and 25 White Leghorns to our flock, and 25 Americaunas and 25 Black Australorps . We are doing our best to meet the egg needs of our customers in the Valley of the Moon. Our chickens get the best organic, soy-free GMO-free feed from Modesto Milling Company. They also eat lots of our old field crops, and get daily old produce from Glen Ellen Market. They have access to a large outdoor area on the hill above our gardens.
